By submitting a reservation request through the Yakima Car Rental website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Reservation Request and Vehicle Availability

Submitting a reservation request does not guarantee that a specific vehicle will be available.

All reservations are subject to vehicle availability and final confirmation by Yakima Car Rental. A representative may contact you to verify your information, confirm vehicle availability, and complete the reservation process.

The vehicle shown or selected during the online booking process represents the requested vehicle or vehicle class. When necessary, Yakima Car Rental may provide a comparable vehicle based on availability.

Customers are encouraged to contact Yakima Car Rental to confirm availability before making travel arrangements.

2. Rental Eligibility

The renter must:

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Meet Yakima Car Rental’s minimum age requirements.
• Provide accurate contact, identification, and payment information.
• Meet all applicable rental qualification requirements.
• Sign the final rental agreement before receiving the vehicle.

Additional authorized drivers must be approved by Yakima Car Rental and listed on the rental agreement before operating the vehicle.

Yakima Car Rental reserves the right to decline or cancel a rental when the renter does not meet eligibility, identification, payment, insurance, or safety requirements.

3. Identification and Payment

The renter may be required to present:

• A valid driver’s license.
• A valid credit or debit card.
• Proof of current automobile insurance.
• Additional identification or documentation when requested.

The name on the driver’s license, reservation, and payment method may be required to match.

Accepted payment methods, deposits, security holds, and other payment requirements will be confirmed before the rental begins.

4. Rental Rates, Taxes, and Charges

Quoted rental rates are based on the dates, times, vehicle class, and information provided during the reservation process.

The renter is responsible for all applicable charges, including:

• Rental charges.
• Applicable state and local taxes.
• Additional-driver charges.
• Optional protection or insurance products.
• Fuel charges.
• Mileage charges, when applicable.
• Late-return or rental-extension charges.
• Cleaning or smoking charges.
• Towing, impound, parking, toll, and traffic charges.
• Damage, loss-of-use, administrative, or other charges authorized by the rental agreement.

The final price may differ from the initial online estimate when reservation information changes or additional products, services, fees, or taxes apply.

5. Reservation Cancellation Policy

Reservations cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time may be eligible for a refund according to the applicable reservation and payment terms.

For a reservation cancelled 24 hours or less before the scheduled pickup time, Yakima Car Rental will refund the amount paid less one day’s rental charge plus applicable tax, in accordance with the contractual agreement.

Failure to arrive at the scheduled pickup time without notifying Yakima Car Rental may be treated as a cancellation or no-show and may result in applicable charges.

Reservations made through another company, booking platform, insurance provider, or third party may also be subject to that party’s cancellation policies.

6. Changes to a Reservation

Requests to change the rental dates, times, vehicle, driver, delivery arrangements, pickup arrangements, or return arrangements are subject to availability and approval.

A reservation change may result in a different rental rate, deposit, fee, or tax amount.

Extending a rental requires prior approval from Yakima Car Rental. Keeping a vehicle beyond the agreed return time without authorization may result in additional charges and other action permitted under the rental agreement and applicable law.

7. Vehicle Pickup and Return

The renter must inspect the vehicle when receiving it and notify Yakima Car Rental of any existing damage or concerns before operating the vehicle.

The vehicle must be returned:

• At the agreed date and time.
• To the approved return location.
• In substantially the same condition in which it was received, except for ordinary wear.
• With the agreed fuel level.
• Free of excessive dirt, odors, smoke residue, pet hair, or personal belongings.

Returning the vehicle late, to an unauthorized location, with insufficient fuel, or in an excessively dirty condition may result in additional charges.

8. Vehicle Delivery Service

Yakima Car Rental may offer complimentary vehicle delivery to approved locations within its designated delivery service area. The normal delivery service area generally includes Yakima, Washington, through Sunnyside, Washington, and communities located within the surrounding Yakima Valley corridor.

Complimentary vehicle delivery is subject to vehicle availability, staffing, scheduling, delivery location, operating conditions, and prior approval by Yakima Car Rental. Delivery service is not guaranteed solely because an address is located within the general service area.

The renter must satisfy all applicable rental eligibility, identification, payment, insurance, and documentation requirements before possession of the vehicle is released. The renter may be required to be present at the approved delivery location unless other arrangements have been specifically authorized by Yakima Car Rental.

Yakima Car Rental may decline, modify, delay, or cancel a delivery request when the requested location is unsafe, inaccessible, unsuitable for vehicle delivery, outside the normal service area, or when circumstances beyond Yakima Car Rental’s reasonable control prevent delivery.

Complimentary vehicle delivery does not automatically include vehicle pickup at the end of the rental. Return location and any requested vehicle pickup must be arranged and approved by Yakima Car Rental in advance.

Delivery or vehicle pickup outside the normal service area may be available by prior arrangement and may be subject to an additional charge.

The renter remains responsible for complying with all other provisions of these Terms and Conditions and the final rental agreement regardless of whether the vehicle is received at a Yakima Car Rental location or through vehicle delivery.

9. Authorized Use of the Vehicle

The vehicle may only be operated by drivers approved and listed on the rental agreement.

The vehicle may not be:

• Operated by an unauthorized or unlicensed driver.
• Used while the driver is under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs, or any substance that impairs driving.
• Used for illegal activity.
• Used for racing, speed contests, driver training, or reckless driving.
• Used to tow or push another vehicle unless specifically authorized.
• Used off-road or on roads unsuitable for the vehicle.
• Used to transport passengers or property for hire unless specifically approved.
• Taken outside an approved geographic area without permission.
• Used in violation of the final rental agreement or applicable law.

The renter is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is operated safely and lawfully.

10. Insurance and Optional Protection

The renter may be required to provide proof of automobile insurance that is acceptable to Yakima Car Rental.

Any optional coverage, protection plan, damage waiver, or supplemental liability product is subject to its own terms, limitations, exclusions, and additional charges.

Before purchasing an optional damage waiver, the renter should determine whether personal automobile insurance or credit-card benefits already cover damage to a rental vehicle and what deductibles, limitations, or exclusions may apply.

Purchasing an optional damage waiver is not necessarily required and does not provide unlimited protection.

Coverage or protection may be void when the vehicle is used in violation of the rental agreement, including use by an unauthorized driver, intoxicated driving, intentional damage, reckless conduct, or illegal use.

11. Renter Responsibility for Damage and Loss

Unless otherwise provided by the final rental agreement or an accepted protection product, the renter may be responsible for:

• Damage to or loss of the rental vehicle.
• Theft or vandalism.
• Tire, wheel, glass, roof, interior, or undercarriage damage.
• Towing and storage.
• Loss of use while the vehicle is unavailable for rental.
• Diminished value.
• Administrative and processing expenses.
• Damage caused by an unauthorized driver.
• Missing keys, accessories, equipment, or documents.

The renter must promptly report any accident, theft, vandalism, warning light, mechanical problem, or vehicle damage to Yakima Car Rental.

12. Accidents and Emergencies

In the event of an accident, theft, vandalism, or other emergency, the renter must:

1. Stop safely and contact emergency services when appropriate.
2. Notify law enforcement when required.
3. Notify Yakima Car Rental as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Obtain the names, contact information, driver’s-license information, insurance information, and vehicle information of all involved parties.
5. Obtain witness information when available.
6. Avoid admitting fault or agreeing to pay a claim.
7. Cooperate with Yakima Car Rental and applicable insurance companies.
8. Complete any required accident or incident report.

The renter must not arrange repairs or towing without authorization except when reasonably necessary to protect people or prevent further damage.

13. Fuel, Mileage, Tolls, and Citations

The renter is responsible for:

• Fuel used during the rental.
• Applicable mileage charges.
• Tolls, parking fees, and related administrative charges.
• Traffic, parking, camera, and toll-road violations.
• Costs resulting from impoundment, towing, booting, or seizure caused by the renter’s actions.

Yakima Car Rental may charge the renter after the rental when such expenses are received or discovered.

14. Smoking, Vaping, and Cleaning

Smoking or vaping in a rental vehicle is prohibited unless Yakima Car Rental expressly states otherwise in writing.

The renter may be charged for cleaning, deodorizing, smoke removal, stain removal, excessive pet hair, biohazard cleanup, or damage beyond ordinary use.

15. Personal Property

Yakima Car Rental is not responsible for personal property left in or transported in a rental vehicle, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

The renter should inspect the vehicle and remove all personal belongings before returning it.

16. Mechanical Problems and Roadside Assistance

The renter must stop operating the vehicle when continued operation may be unsafe or may cause additional damage.

Yakima Car Rental must be contacted before repairs, parts, towing, or roadside services are authorized whenever reasonably possible.

The renter may be responsible for expenses caused by misuse, negligence, lost keys, locked-in keys, improper fueling, discharged batteries, tire damage, or violation of the rental agreement.

17. Privacy and Information Use

Information submitted through the website may be used to:

• Process and evaluate the reservation.
• Contact the renter.
• Verify identity, driving eligibility, payment, and insurance.
• Administer the rental.
• Collect amounts owed.
• Investigate accidents, damage, fraud, or violations.
• Meet legal, regulatory, accounting, and insurance obligations.

The renter represents that all information submitted is accurate and complete.

18. Website Information

Yakima Car Rental makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate website information. However, vehicle photos, features, availability, prices, descriptions, and estimated totals may change or contain errors.

The final confirmed reservation and signed rental agreement control over conflicting website information.

19. Final Rental Agreement Controls

These website Terms and Conditions apply to the online reservation process.

The renter will be required to review and sign a separate rental agreement before taking possession of the vehicle. That agreement may contain additional terms, charges, restrictions, insurance provisions, and responsibilities.

In the event of a conflict, the signed rental agreement will control to the extent permitted by law.

20. Right to Refuse or Terminate Rental

Yakima Car Rental reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or terminate a rental when:

• Required information is false or incomplete.
• Payment or identification requirements are not met.
• The renter or driver does not qualify.
• The vehicle would be used unlawfully or unsafely.
• The renter violates the reservation terms or rental agreement.
• The requested vehicle is unavailable.
• Circumstances beyond Yakima Car Rental’s reasonable control prevent the rental.

Any refund will be determined under the applicable reservation, cancellation, and rental terms.

21. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.

Any provision determined to be invalid or unenforceable will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
